Life doesn’t allow us to go back and relive our past, but it does allow us to live each day better than our last. This is exactly what I want to focus on in today’s episode. My business has been built on the idea that we should all focus on Living Every Day Better, yet it is a topic I haven’t ever dived into in the podcast. So let’s chat about it.

Hello and welcome back to another bonus episode of the Embrace Your Real Podcast. Life doesn't always allow us to go back and relieve our past, but it does allow us to live every day better than our last. This is exactly what I want to focus on in today's bonus episode.
My business has been built on the idea that we should all focus on living every day better, yet it's a topic that I've never really dived into on the podcast, so let's chat about it.
How do you actually live every day better? What does that actually look like? But before I dive in, I wanted to share the super sweet review comes from Danielle [Enwhite 00:01:10]. First off, the fact that you said you could listen to this all day, girl, you are amazing. I love you guys. My podcast listeners, you guys are the real deal. You guys are my community and I appreciate you showing up every single week with me, so that we can both feel more encouraged and empowered to live our authentic selves and truly live every day better, which is exactly what I'm going to be talking about in today's episode.
Remember that tiny, small differences and improvements in our daily performance and habits, can truly lead to overwhelming results when repeated over the long term. That's why I regularly ask myself, "How can I just be 1% better today?" I don't ask myself, "How can I completely transform overnight?" This is where most people go wrong. They think they need to change drastically overnight, but it's actually the small improvements done every single day that leads to the most successful and long lasting results.
Plus focusing on 1% is so much easier to grasp than transforming completely overnight. It's so much easier to implement into your daily life and it's easier to maintain, when all you have to do is just focus on the 1%. It also helps you break your failure mindset.
When we can't do everything perfectly every single day, we think we're failing. Yet, when we focus on just being 1% better every day, it helps us focus on our small victories. And guess what? It's actually those small victories that will continue to accumulate into the bigger results that you want.
So what does being 1% better every day look like? Well, 1% better can look like a plethora of things, but first you need to define what does 1% better look like for you? Because let's be real. The word better is defined differently for every single person. Better is very subjective and that's why you need to define that for yourself before you set out on some kind of path to get there. If you don't, you won't know where you're going.
For example, your better could mean counting your macros every day. That is your destination though. Instead of going from never counting macros to counting them every single day, how can you be 1% better each day? Maybe that's first becoming aware of the macros in foods that you're typically eating. Then it's figuring out how many macros your body actually needs. Then it's seeing where you are now and then adjusting them to where they need to be. Then maybe it's just focusing on tracking how much protein you eat daily. Then it's choosing the higher protein meal over the less nutrient dense meal. Then it's tracking an entire meal. Then it's making those 1% improvements over and over again until you're seamlessly tracking each meal daily, without even thinking about it. Do you kind of see how that's sequential? It's day-by-day, choice-by-choice, building habits after habits.
Another example could be a project that you need to get done, but you continue to procrastinate on it. Instead of thinking, you need to sit down out and get it done all at once, you can start to tackle just 1% of it daily. Maybe that's spending 20 minutes a day on it. You can wrap your head around 20 minutes, right? That 20 minutes is going to help you be 1% better every day. Maybe being 1% better is just making one better decision daily. Maybe you decide to wake up and walk the stairs instead of the elevator. Or maybe you decide to eat the grilled chicken instead of the fried chicken. Or maybe you decide to say no to someone because you're too busy to help them out and you're starting to create boundaries. All of these are examples of getting 1% better daily.
So here's my challenge to you. Determine what does better mean you and then focus on being 1% better daily. When you have a small victory posted on Instagram stories. Give me a tag. I would love to know how you are truly living every day better. That's the living every day better mentality; getting 1% better every single day.
The beautiful thing is that you can define better in different areas of your life, your health, your fitness, your relationships, your spiritual, your professional, your financial. There are so many different areas that you can commit to getting 1% better to, every single day. If you love the concept or mantra of living every day better, I do have merch for you. So this for me personally, I start out my day clothing my mind, for a lack of a better term, reading God's word. That is how I start every single day. Because when I cloth my mind in that, it gives me this mentality to move forward every day. But on a much more physical level, whatever you yourself with like your sweatshirts, your t-shirts, the things that you see yourself in, in the mirror every single day, those ultimately will guide you. And so for me, creating merch with a purpose was making sure that women had clothes that they could literally cloth themselves with, that reminded them how special they are. Reminded them of the lifestyle that their living for, so living every day better. Or I have, In A World Full Of Highlight Reels, Choose To Embrace Your Real. I have so many different sayings that remind women of what's most important and remind women of the lifestyle that they are looking to live.
So again, I will add my merch to the show notes below, but I have tons of different styles and ultimately this is for you. I know for me, whenever I see really cool designs, or I see really impactful sayings on shirts when people are just in the grocery store, when I see them out in public, it's so encouraging and it's so inspiring and you never know who you're impacting by just simply wearing it. Whether it's wearing it to work, wearing it to the gym, wearing it to the grocery store, you never know how that crew neck or that t-shirt, or that tank top, is going to impact somebody else's life. But ultimately living every day better is trying to get 1% better every single day. Focus on that 1% and then focus on the next 1% and then focus on the next 1%. And you'll look back six months, 12 months, 14 months from now, and you'll be amazed at the transformation that you have.
