Let's go. Hello and welcome back to another bonus episode on the Embrace Your podcast. Today we are tackling a topic that so many of us struggle with, and this is 100%, myself included, and that is confidence. Like maybe you've looked at other women and thought, Man, she's just so confident, I wish I could be like that. Here's the thing. You absolutely can be confident just like her. If you don't believe me. I hope that this episode will change your mind by the end of it. We're really diving into what confidence really is. Why fear isn't the enemy that you think it is and the specific actions you can take today to start showing up as your true, confident, authentic self even when you don't feel ready. If you've ever held yourself back because you've thought, you know, I'm just not a confident person, this episode is for you. By the end, I know that you will start to see confidence really isn't about waiting to feel ready. It's about trusting yourself enough to take action anyway. Before we dive in though, I want to share this review. It comes from a she's laughin with f f i n and she said great learning tool after finding this podcast by using Julie's workouts on Pinterest. I have learned so much. I am grateful that she puts content out there that so many young people like me can learn from. I also love how she incorporates her faith into podcasts. A very refreshing thing for all of the secular fitness voices out there. I love this so much. I'm so grateful that this podcast is helping you. And hey, another person on Pinterest finding this episode, then finding my workouts and then, you know, subsequently popping over here on the podcast is just amazing. I am so grateful for you guys. If you could scooch over to Apple Podcasts and liberating Interview, that would mean absolute world to me and our team. Just kind of know how this podcast in general is helping you or maybe specific episodes. Okay, let's get after it. What is the real way to build confidence in 2025? If there's one thing that you could take away from this episode, let it be this embrace the idea that confidence is a skill that you build, not a trait that you have. Let me repeat that again. Embrace the idea that confidence is a skill that you build, not a trait that you have. And so let's kind of break this idea down so that you truly understand it. Here's the truth Confidence isn't this magic trait that's reserved for a select few. It's not a gift that you've been born with or a personality trait that you have to fit into. While yes, it does come easier to like to some than others, at the end of the day, confidence truly is a skill, and it's a skill which means that it's learnable. It's a trainable thing that you can strengthen just like any other thing in your life. The difference between those who exude confidence and those who don't. It just means that it's not a natural talent. It's really it is consistent practice. And I want you to think about how we talk so much on this podcast about building physical strength. But you start small, you pick up the light weights, you stay consistent, you practice those basic movements and you simply just, you know, show up even when you're unsure. Over time, with the repeated effort and the incremental challenges, your body slowly is going to adapt and get stronger, right? Confidence really does work the same way. Like accept lifting weights, you're really lifting yourself out of self-doubt and into action. Confidence is built in those tiny, scary moments that challenge your comfort zone. It's saying yes to presenting, you know, at a meeting, even when your voice shakes, or it's about walking into a gym for the first time, even if you feel out of place or walking into a community event, even if you feel like scared and you don't know anybody, it's about, you know, putting yourself out there, deciding to start the business or pursue the hobby or send the message even when fear tells you not to. And the more you do these things, the less intimidating they become. Confidence really grows not because the situations get easier, but because you've proven to yourself over and over and over again that you can handle them. I really believe that a huge barrier to building confidence is waiting until you feel 100% ready or certain before taking action. But you have to remember that confidence does not come from certainty. It comes from doing. And that's why in Perfect Action is so powerful. It really does teach you that you don't have everything figured out and you don't have to have everything figured out to take that next step, each in perfection, and each imperfect action builds that trust within yourself, which is the foundation of lasting confidence. Instead of overthinking or doubting your abilities, start small. Break the big scary goal into manageable steps and focus on one at a time. With each step, you'll gain momentum and realize that you're capable of far more than you give yourself credit for. Fear isn't the enemy of confidence. It's the fuel. Let me say that again. Fear isn't the enemy of confidence. It is. A few of the situations that scare you are often the exact ones that will lead to the most growth when fear shows up. Instead of shrinking back, ask yourself, okay, what can I learn from this? How can this help me grow? This reframe really does shifts fear from being a sign of weakness to becoming the signal that you are on the verge of becoming a stronger, more confident version of yourself. Just remember that confidence is not built in a day or through one big achievement. It is built in the daily commitment to show up, celebrate every win along the way, no matter how small. Whether it's speaking up in a meeting, it's setting a boundary. It's simply getting through a tough day. Recognize these moments as the bricks that you are laying in the foundation of your confidence. All right. So with all of that said, here's the actionable tip for you to start using today. You're like, okay, all this is great, but what can I start doing today? If you've ever told yourself, I'm just not a confident person, it's time to rewrite the story. 2025 is the year you where you are rewriting that story. Start asking yourself, okay. Instead of me just constantly telling myself I'm not a confident person. I'm not going to put myself out there because I'm not confident. I'll just wait until a more confident. You have to start asking yourself, what is one action that I can take today that will stretch my confidence muscle? What is one action that I can take today that will stretch my confidence muscle? It can be as simple as starting a conversation, trying something new, saying yes to something that you would normally avoid. Remember that confidence is built, not born. Confidence is built, not born. And with every action that you take, you are becoming the bold, self-assured person that you are meant to be.
