Let's go. [00:00:22][22.7]

[00:00:30] Hello and welcome back to another bonus episode on the Embrace Your Real podcast. At our core, every single person on this earth is created by God and is inherently deserving of love, respect of opportunities. I know this for a fact. However, often times life's challenges, past experiences, the societal constructs like things like that can sometimes trigger us to have doubt in ourselves, making us question our worth, our gifts, our talents. And in these moments, we are not able to give the world what I believe God has created us to give to this world. And every single one of us has a gift and it's different from one another. And and so in today's episode, I just kind of want to give you some real talk in terms of how to start living in a way that really solidifies your worth and your gifts in this world. [00:01:20][50.5]

[00:01:20] But first, I want to share this super sweet review comes from Claire Aitchison. Aitchison. She gave a five star review and said, My go to podcast. I started listening to the Embrace your podcast about a year ago and it totally helped change my mindset about my body and about fitness. I now choose to do my workouts because they make me feel good, not because I want to punish my body. Julia has had such a major impact on my mental health, as well as her empowering words of encouragement. She really makes me feel like I'm talking to a friend. I listen to this podcast every day and I could listen to it. I could relisten to each episode about ten times. [00:01:53][33.0]

[00:01:54] Wow. Well, you are definitely a true O.G. Thank you so much for spending so much time with me and your ears. I appreciate every single one of you guys so much. And I mean, these podcasts are my hope and pray every single time that I record and that we press publish on an episode is that they serve you in some way, shape or form. They encourage you, they empower you, they educate you. And so I just thank you. Thank you for taking time out of your day and thank you for leaving this review. It really does mean the world to me. [00:02:23][29.6]

[00:02:24] And so let's dive into just a quick bonus episode on how to start living in a way that really allows you to live in your gifting and to live out your purpose in this world. One thing that I've learned over the years is that I actually cannot let other people's opinion of me hold me back in any way, shape or form. And, you know, that's not to say that I don't have a close group of girlfriends and people in my life that I really do value their comments and I really do value their wisdom and maybe their opinion in terms of certain things that I do or certain content that I put out or things like that. I think that that's important. And I think that that's a huge part of just accountability in life, especially if you're constantly wanting to be growing as a human and you're wanting to be growing spiritually. I think it's so important to have those people in your life. But I think the biggest hindrance that holds us back is what people think of us. [00:03:21][56.7]

[00:03:21] Like I can't even tell you how long it took me to actually start speaking my mind when it comes to just my disordered relationship with my body and with food. And it held me back for years because I was so scared of what other people would think. And looking back now, you know, having shared my story with hundreds of thousands of women, I mean, this podcast has impacted millions of women, which is so beyond my comprehension. And I'm so grateful for every single one of you guys, I couldn't even imagine not sharing it today, but in the moment, I remember, you know, being my 23 year old self, feeling so self-conscious, feeling so scared of what are other people going to think? [00:04:02][40.9]

[00:04:02] And the fact of the matter is, at the end of the day, like your story is your story and God can use your story and has placed us on this earth, has allowed us to go through through certain things so that we're able to share our story and share what we've learned. [00:04:15][13.4]

[00:04:16] And so if you have gone through something or maybe you're going through something and you're kind of in that place that I was and I'm not I'm not even telling you that I have completely carried that fear. I mean, there are still always going to be times as a human that I'm like, you know, I'm kind of nervous to share this or I'm kind of nervous to think, you know, what are people going to think about this? And at the end of the day, I have to remember that I personally, I am a God believer. I'm a God fearing faith, believing Christian. And I believe that we live for an audience of one. So if I am able to share my story and able to share that, you know, I have been able to successfully go through the hardship of having that disordered relationship with my body and with food and now living on the other side of it and learning so much from it and knowing that God is using my story and has used my story like that's all that matters. [00:05:08][52.2]

[00:05:09] And and so I just want to encourage you with whatever you're going through today. I want to encourage you to share your story. Like you never know what your transparency is going to open up for another person's bravery. I mean, there are so many times that I've gone. And messages from people that I don't know and and also people that I do know, people that I went to high school or middle school with saying like, thank you so much for sharing X, Y, and Z, whether it's been on a podcast or it's been on a post, you know, and people saying like your bravery and your transparency allowed me to start to get courage to build up, either start sharing their story or or even taking steps towards, you know, I'm starting to slowly build the courage so that I know one day I can share my story. [00:05:57][47.9]

[00:05:57] And so, man, if you're going through something hard, just know that I'm right there with you. There are so many people that are likely going through the same thing. And until you open up about it, you don't even know the community that you can start to build, especially with the power of social media. Today. There are so many negative things with social media today. But man, the one positive thing is that God can truly bring us together as a community. Whether you are one mile away or you are 100,000 miles away, I mean, you are able to feel connected to people and it is a beautiful thing. And so I hope that this encourages you. I hope that this gave you a some sort of spark or encouragement if maybe you were sitting in that place today where you're like, man, I feel like I have a story to share, but I'm scared. I'm scared of what people are going to say. I'm here to tell you I have been on the Internet for over a decade and I have heard it all genuinely, I have heard it all. [00:06:52][54.4]

[00:06:52] And one thing that I just constantly remind myself is that I live for an audience of one. I live for God and God alone. And if I can lay my head on that pillow at night every single night and say, you know, I gave it my all, I was able to share my story. I was able to bring glory to God through the hardships that I have been going through or that I'm currently going through. That's all that matters. All the rest of it is noise. And, you know, you're always going to get people that are haters. You're always going to get people that have a comment to say. [00:07:23][30.5]

[00:07:23] And yes, it's hard. I get it, especially when you're starting to go more public on, you know, if you're starting a blog or you're starting an Instagram or social media. I remember when I did that and I started to be more public, you know, online. I started hearing things from family members, some from friends. And, you know, they're like, oh, it's you know, you're doing X, Y and Z, and sometimes you just got to let things roll off your back. If, you know, at the end of the day that you are where God is supposed to be, like God has placed you to be, that's all that matters. So I hope that this helps you in some way, shape or form. I hope that this encourages you. And if you love this episode, I know you'll also love episode to 80. I talk about ten truths about your self-worth, so I will link that in the show notes that you can easily go tune into that. But I love you, friend, and I will talk to you in the next episode. [00:08:11][47.8]

[00:08:21] All right, sister. That's all I got for you today. But I have two things that I need you to do. First thing, if you are not already following me on the gram, be sure to do so.
