[00:00:30] Hello and welcome back to another episode on the Embracer podcast. Today I'm really excited. It is going to be a game changer. And I want to talk about changing bodies, because I don't know about you, but I am in a season where I at my body has changed so, so much and I know that I'm not the only one experiencing that. And so I'm sure that you might need a pep talk just as much as I need the pep talk. I really had to navigate it. And I want you to hear me out on this. Like change is a natural part of life. Our bodies reflect this constant evolution, right? And change is inevitable. And so as women especially, we experience, like so many changes throughout our lives, from puberty to pregnancy to menopause and beyond. There are so many different phases and so many other phases in between that our body's going to change in some way, shape or form. And so we just need to lean in and learn to embrace these changes and most importantly, find peace with them. And so that's why this is going to be a two part series. So in today's episode I'm going to be sharing part one. And then next week I'll be sharing part two. But before we dive in, I want to share this review. It comes from Jess Labella zero zero. She gave a five star review and said, thankful for this program and podcast. So thankful I found the Moment with Julie program, which is a super affordable and has a great support group and is truly the best. With so many influencers out there. I feel truly blessed that Julie caught my attention. She is wholesome, encouraging, challenging, but also realistic. Her podcast keeps things simple and encouraging. Grateful to have a woman of faith influencing me when it comes to my body, because I know she values health but also knows its place in our life. My husband and 17 year old daughter have seen so many positive changes in my life. In addition to 45 pound weight loss since July and my blood work has completely been fixed. I usually don't do reviews, but this one I highly recommend. Oh my gosh, that is amazing! That is so incredible. I mean, 45 pound weight loss is in and of itself a feat, but the fact that your husband and your 17 year old daughter are seeing so many positive changes in your life, that just brings my heart so much joy, because that's exactly what I want this podcast to do, is to help change you so that you can go out there and change those who you love, and you can serve those who you love in your best capacity. So thank you, thank you, thank you for taking time out of your day to send in that review. It genuinely means the world to me. Okay, so first things first. Remember that change is natural. Your body's designed to change throughout your life. That is right. You, God. Literally. Especially the women body like the women evolution right of our body. God designed our body to change throughout our life. Like these changes are natural and they need to be embraced as signs of growth and life. Our bodies are so incredible and they're constantly able to adapt and transform in response to our environment, our lifestyle, our age. From the moment that we're born, our bodies are in a state of flux. I mean, think about the remarkable changes that happen when you are going through puberty, when you know a time when our bodies are rapidly developing and maturing, and these changes are not only natural, but they're necessary for our growth and our development. And then as we age, our bodies continue to evolve. Like, I literally just grew a baby boy inside of my body. And of course, my body had to change in order to accomplish such a miraculous thing. Like our bodies, as women are designed to grow a literal baby inside of us. That is so mind blowing to me. Like it was mind blowing to me before I was pregnant. But once I was able to blessed enough to experience pregnancy, I was like, are you freaking kidding me? Like, the fact that our bodies can do this is so amazing. And yes, these changes can sometimes feel hard. Sometimes they're unwanted, but they're merely indicators of a life well-lived, right? Each wrinkle, each gray hair, each change that you're experiencing tells a story about you. And so by understanding that change is an inherent part of our bodily existence, we can start to see these transformations not as something to be feared or resisted, but in fact as natural and a beautiful part of our life's journey that God mapped out for us. Number two, as your body changes, remember that your worth is not found within your body. And this is really, really important to remember that your value as a person goes far beyond your physical appearance. Let me repeat that again. Your value as a person goes far beyond your physical appearance. You are defined by your kindness, your intelligence, your spirit, and all the other amazing things that are unique about you. Your body is just one part of you, just one part. Not everything. Just one. You know, society, I believe, oftentimes places disproportionate emphasis on physical appearance. They create this narrow standard of beauty that many of us strive to meet, and this can lead to feelings of inadequacy. Self doubt. But let me tell you this it is crucial to remember that true beauty and worth come from within. Your worth is not tied to your dress size. The number of wrinkles on your face, the color of your hair. It is determined by the person that you are, your values, your actions, how you treat others, your kindness, your intelligence, your creativity, your resilience. Those are what truly define you and make you valuable. Think about the people that you love, the people that you admire. Chances are, it's not about their physical appearance that you love most about them. What you love about them is their character, their strength, the way that they make you feel. And the same is true for you. Those who truly matter in your life and value you for you. They value you for you, not how you look. And last but not least, number three. Remember that when your body changes, your body is trying to tell you something your body communicates to you on a daily basis. So when your body is changing, it might be time for you to pay attention to those signals and respond with care and respect. Our bodies are super incredible. They have the ability to communicate with us, but we need to make sure that we are actually taking the time to listen. Hunger, fatigue, pain, even those emotions. Those are things that our bodies are signaling to us as needs. If your body is changing, ask yourself, what is it that I truly need? Maybe you need more sleep. Maybe you need to reduce stress. Maybe you need to nourish your body. Maybe you just need to give yourself some dang grace. Listening to your body, though, means that you are able to have and be on the same page to give your body what it needs to thrive. It also means that you're acknowledging and you're respecting the changes to your body that it's undergoing, rather than fighting against it. Right? It's our condition to want to fight and resist the change, but what our body needs most is for us to listen to it, go along with it and what it needs. Once we are able to give our body what it's asking for, whatever it is, and we are able to acknowledge that whatever it ends up being is meant to be in that season. And to me, that's a beautiful thing. So there you have it. That is part one of this two part series, the three kind of reminders about your changing body. Let me quickly recap what we talked about in today's episode. Number one, change is natural. Number two, as your body changes, remember that your worth is not found in your body. And last but not least, number three. Remember when your body changes, sometimes your body is trying to tell you something and that's a beautiful thing. So tune in. Be self-aware enough to recognize okay, what is it that my body is needing from me? Sometimes your body, all it needs is saying, hey, I need you to love me. I need you to send me some grace. Other times it's it's a reality check. Hey, I need you to nourish me. Well, hey, I need to try to sleep more. I need to prioritize rest and recovery. I need to prioritize more, you know, stress reducing, anxiety reducing activity so that I'm not living at this high state of high cortisol all the time, being self-aware enough to change the course of action. And so if you are needing help in terms of your nutrition or you needing help in terms of your movement, I have two programs for you. Number one, the nutrition program is called the Macro Counting Made Simple Online Academy. I will link that in the show notes below. That's going to teach you how to properly fuel your body based on where you're at and what your goals are. Or number two, I have the movement with Julie app, which is my only workout app which gives you five brand new workouts every single week. There are 30 minute, 60 minute workouts for every single workout, so depending on your time constraints, you have a workout for you. But just be aware and recognize that our bodies are beautiful and powerful and capable. And I'm excited to share with you the last three reminders in this two part series, so be sure to stay tuned for that. But that is all that I have for today's episode. I love you so much. I mean, I'll talk to you next one. [00:09:12]
[00:09:20] I love you, love you. [00:09:21]
[00:09:23] All right sister, that's all I got for you today. But I have two things that I need you to do. First thing, if you are not already following me on the gram, be sure to do so.
